We are driving cost efficiency and profitable growth across Royal Mail through exceptional data-driven insight. As we continue to build our world-class profitability analytics capability, we're looking for a talented Profitability Insights Data Analyst to help transform complex data into meaningful commercial understanding.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data, analytics and business strategy, supporting critical decisions that influence profitability across one of the UK's largest and most complex organisations.

About The Role

You will deliver analysis, reporting and insight that help leaders understand profitability performance, identify opportunities and support strategic decision-making.

You will also:

  • Deliver customer and cohort profitability analysis to support commercial decision-making
  • Produce reporting, dashboards and stakeholder insight packs
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities within profitability performance
  • Investigate margin movements and provide clear business insight
  • Support Commercial, Pricing and Operations teams with analytical requests
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, analytics and insight processes

About You

You will be a strong analyst with a passion for turning data into business insight.

You will bring:

  • Experience in data analysis, finance, business performance or a similar analytical role
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience handling large datasets
  • SQL and/or Python skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Profitability, commercial or financial analysis experience
  • Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools
  • Degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a related field
