Data Analyst
Data Analyst (External Affairs) – London, UK
About the Role
Hult International Business School is seeking a Data Analyst to join the External Affairs team based in London, UK.
The post-holder will work closely with the Data and Analytics Manager and have the opportunity to deliver data analytics, develop actionable insights, and drive exceptional business value.
This role suits an individual with:

- A keen eye for attention to detail, as the work will support decision-making across the business.
Responsibilities
- Supporting major statutory student returns, optimising their impact, and leveraging resultant data to aid organisation-wide decision-making
- Collecting and analysing internal and external data to prepare:
- Reports
- Forecasts
- Models
- “What-if” scenarios
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Academic teams, etc.) to develop analyses that generate actionable insights
- Integrating data from diverse sources, including:
- Sales
- Marketing
- Operations
- Market trends & competition
- Finance
- Customer databases
- Creating unified, business-driven views to inform decision-making processes
- Designing and building reports, dashboards, and analytics using:
- Excel
- SQL
- Python
- Salesforce
- Tableau
- Snowflake

Essential Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role
- Exceptionally motivated, curious, and skilled in problem-solving
- Strong ability to interpret industry trends and business needs; analytical mindset required
- Understanding of database management and experience with:
- Integrating
- Structuring
- Analysing large datasets across diverse sources
- Ability to prioritise work, meet challenging deadlines, and maintain urgency
- Flexible, open-minded, and agile
- Self-directed, self-motivated, and capable of delivering:
- High-quality reports
- Effective planning
- Strong project management
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative ability (must engage effectively with key stakeholders)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong SQL skills are mandatory
- Experience with:
- Python (preferred)
- Tableau (preferred)
- Snowflake (preferred)
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Codex, Claude) and modern development environments (VS Code) to accelerate:
- Data analysis
- Coding
- Reporting workflows
