Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support the GDFP IFRS 17 reporting platform, focusing on the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Tableau dashboards and data models within a highly controlled reporting environment.
The role will lead the migration of Tableau workbooks and data sources as Snowflake platforms are re‑engineered and moved to a new server, including controlled updates to semantic models to reflect back‑end changes. A strong emphasis will be placed on testing, reconciliation, and documented assurance to ensure reports align with governed data and reporting requirements.
You will work within established SDLC and change processes, producing required artefacts, and contribute to the maturation of Tableau development practices, including the introduction of CI/CD using Git/GitHub and Python‑based Tableau tooling.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards, data sources, and extracts on the GDFP IFRS 17 platform, ensuring outputs are accurate, performant, and aligned to governed reporting standards
- Delivering Tableau migration activities as Snowflake data sources are re‑engineered and migrated to a new server, including updating connections and applying controlled changes to semantic and data models to reflect back‑end updates
- Contributing to the advancement of Tableau development practices by helping implement stronger SDLC controls, including version control (Git/GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation using Python‑based Tableau tooling and agreed engineering standards
- Planning and executing comprehensive testing and reconciliation activities to validate Tableau outputs against back‑end data, producing clear, auditable evidence and required artefacts such as test scripts, reconciliation results, and Test Completion Reports
- Collaborating closely with the wider IFRS 17 platform teams, including data engineering, QA, governance, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, triage issues, and deliver change through defined processes and timelines
- Providing business‑as‑usual support for Tableau dashboards and data sources, including monitoring, incident and defect investigation, performance optimisation, and timely resolution in line with operational expectations
- Using SQL (Snowflake) and Tableau best practices to design and maintain robust datasets and data models, including joins, aggregations, and calculations, to enable consistent reporting and scalable dashboard development
- Operating effectively within a controlled and audited environment by adhering to governance and security standards, maintaining comprehensive documentation and artefacts (e.g. Change Requests, Implementation Plans, runbooks, user guides), and ensuring all changes are traceable, peer‑reviewed, and released through approved processes

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Proven expertise in developing and maintaining high‑quality Tableau dashboards, including workbooks, data sources, calculations, extracts, performance optimisation, and best‑practice visual design
- Experience designing and maintaining reporting datasets and data models (e.g. star or semantic layers) using SQL, with the ability to adapt models as upstream Snowflake data sources evolve
- Demonstrated ability to improve and automate analytics and reporting delivery processes, including repeatable deployments, standardised testing, and reusable components, to reduce manual effort and operational risk
