About The Role
As a Data Analyst at Sporty Group, you will play a critical role in transforming vast amounts of data into actionable insights that influence key business decisions. Your primary responsibility will involve mining and analyzing petabytes of data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities across various business units. You will develop and maintain dashboards that are integral to daily operations, providing real-time insights to product managers, traders, and executive leadership. Your analyses will support strategic initiatives, optimize processes, and improve overall business performance. Additionally, you will ensure the stability and accuracy of reporting infrastructure, collaborating closely with data engineering teams to uphold data quality and integrity. Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in a data-driven role
- Strong proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python programming
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing principles
- Experience in designing and monitoring KPIs
- Knowledge of BI and data visualization tools such as Metabase
- Experience working with Airflow and AWS cloud services is highly desirable
- Good understanding of relational databases and data architecture
- Strong analytical skills, proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively
- Familiarity with sports, gaming, or related industries will be advantageous, but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Design, define, and monitor core business KPIs to evaluate product and operational performance.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and business teams to translate business questions into structured data analysis.
- Develop and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations to stakeholders, providing meaningful insights to inform decisions.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that enable self-service analytics across teams.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and respond to emerging business needs.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by validating datasets and working closely with data engineering teams to resolve issues.
