Data Analyst – External Affairs Team
About the Role
Hult International Business School is seeking a Data Analyst to join the External Affairs team based in London, UK. The successful candidate will work closely with the Data and Analytics Manager and will have the opportunity to positively impact the organisation by providing data analytics, developing actionable insights, and delivering exceptional business value.
This role suits an individual with an analytical mindset and several years’ experience in working with data and analytics. Attention to detail is critical, as successful candidates will support business-wide decisions while working under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Supporting major statutory student returns, optimising their impact, and using the resultant data to inform organisational strategy
- Collecting and analysing internal and external data, preparing reports, forecasts, models, and "what-if" scenario analysis
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders (including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Academic teams) to develop insights that drive actionable strategies
- Gathering data from diverse sources (sales, marketing, operations, market trends, competition, finance, customer databases) to create integrated views for decision-making
- Designing, building, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and analytical frameworks using:
- Excel
- SQL
- Python
- Salesforce
- Tableau
- Snowflake

Essential Requirements
- A few years’ experience (typically 2-3 years) in data analyst or similar analytical roles
- Exceptionally motivated, curious, and strong problem-solving skills
- Analytical mindset – ability to interpret industry trends and map them to business needs
- Proficiency in database management, including:
- Experience integrating, structuring, and analysing large datasets from diverse sources
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet challenging deadlines, and drive urgent demand requirements
- Flexible, open-minded, and agile – adaptable to changing priorities
- Self-directed, self-motivated with proven skills in:
- Reporting
- Planning
- Project management (to meet deadlines)
- Strong communication skills, with the ability and willingness to collaborate with key business stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
- Strong SQL skills (essential)
- Experience with:
- Python (highly desirable)
- Tableau (highly desirable)
- Snowflake (highly desirable)
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Codex, Claude) and modern development environments (VS Code) to enhance analysis, coding, and reporting workflows
