Job Description
The Data Analytics Director is a key new role within the Data Analytics Function, focused on driving compliance with BCBS239 and building a robust Analytics Operations Capability globally, particularly for EMEA departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and scaling of the Analytics Operations team, ensuring maintenance, support, and optimisation of EUC (Employee User Community) tools to enhance timeliness, accuracy, performance, and user experience.
- Develop the operating model and service catalogue for Analytics Operations, collaborating with technical and business departments to ensure effective support for existing and new products.
- Oversee the product support team, delivering timely issue resolution, aligning operations with BCBS239 requirements, and managing cross-functional risks and escalations.
- Lead a pipeline of initiatives in Analytics Operations, aligning deliveries with stakeholder expectations and maintaining thorough documentation (catalogue, metadata, etc.).
- Foster a high-performing team through mentorship, bridging collaboration between data, technical, and business teams.
- Develop and execute data analytics strategies that drive informed decision-making.
- Implement and oversee data governance frameworks to maintain data quality, integrity, and security.
- Assess proposals (RFPs) and define commercial terms, managing supplier and vendor engagements.
- Drive innovation in AI, analytics tools (e.g., Collibra/Apparity), and emerging technology applications.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate:
✅ Regulatory Expertise:
- Specific experience with BCBS239 compliance in banking.
- Experience leading remediation efforts for EUC tools and European Central Bank (ECB) onboarding.
✅ Technical & Operational Leadership:
- Background in data governance, analytics infrastructures, and reporting (SDLC, agile/hybrid delivery).
- Proven ability to implement and manage operational silos for analytical tools and regulatory processes.
✅ Strategic & Commercial Twins Club:
- Knowledge in crafting RFPs, Statements of Work and vendor management (collaboration and oversight).

- Demonstrated capability to influence senior stakeholders in large, matrixed organisations.
- Ability to develop and mentor cross-functional teams, blending technical and business imperatives.
Eperience & Strategic Focus
Experience working collaboratively with finance teams, technologies involving the internet of things, and a background in IT risk.
Additionally:
- Understanding of advanced configuration in Industry standard data cataloguing tools such as Collibra & Apparity
