Data & Analytics Intern – Finance | Manchester
Join Global Finance Services, our finance shared services team, in Manchester and help transform how data drives decision-making across a global organisation. This role sits within our finance function and will support teams across Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), and Record to Report (RTR) by delivering high-quality data analysis, reporting, and insights. You'll play a key role in helping improve data visibility, accuracy, and decision-making across the department.
This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of meaningful projects, not just support tasks. You'll gain exposure to large, complex datasets and play a key role in improving how finance operates at scale. It is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to apply data skills in a real-world finance environment within a fast-paced, global organisation.
What you'll be doing
- Collate and clean datasets from internal and external sources
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards
- Conduct exploratory analysis to surface trends and insights
- Support presentation of findings to internal stakeholders
- Document data processes and methodologies

What we're looking for
- Studying towards a degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. data science, statistics, economics, computer science)
- Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Python, R or SQL is an advantage
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to a non-technical audience
- Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large datasets
