About the Role
As our Data and Performance Lead, you’ll be the funding knowledge expert everyone turns to. You’ll ensure our data is accurate, compliant, and delivers the insights that power our programmes.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading data analysis, insight, and reporting across all education and skills programmes
- Owning financial and performance reporting across contracts, producing monthly insights that inform strategic decisions
- Coordinating data integrity procedures and managing validation processes for error-free submissions
- Supporting the development of core data systems and tools for new contracts and delivery
- Analysing programme data to predict trends, identify risks, and inform future planning
- Leading business development projects to maximise impact
- Ensuring preparation for external audits and quality monitoring visits
- Providing training and support on data submission processes
- Ensuring that data meets all funding compliance requirements, with a focus on ILR submissions
- Staying current with funding and compliance changes, sharing expertise across the team, and coordinating the end-to-end funding return process

The Must Haves
- Deep knowledge of funding policy for education across all ages and provision
- Experience with ILRs, funding returns, and MIS systems
- Strong IT skills across multiple platforms, with advanced Excel knowledge
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Passion for data analysis and insight
- A positive, energised approach with enthusiasm for helping others
- A results-focused mindset
