About the Organisation
Anti-Financial-Crime (AFC) Technology is a 1,000-person team responsible for driving €90m in annual change programmes across 8 key areas. Major offices are located in London, Frankfurt, Pune, Bucharest, and New York.
This division works closely with Compliance & Anti-Financial-Crime (C-AFC) to design and deliver data solutions supporting critical risk controls such as:
- Transaction Monitoring
- Trade Surveillance
- Employee Compliance
- Name List Screening
- Transaction Screening
- And other regulatory requirements
The Role: Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the C-AFC Compliance Data Partner, the Data and/or Records Lead will:
- Lead and oversee complex data transformation initiatives, ensuring strategic outcomes in data management, controls, lineage, data quality, and regulatory remediation.
- Act as a senior advisor to business and technology leaders, shaping solutions and influencing critical delivery projects.
- Support the growth of the Business/Data Partnership function within the C-AFC Divisional Data Office.
- Provide thought leadership while driving cross-functional coordination, bridging the gap between technology, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
Strategic Delivery
- Define, shape, and execute strategic data initiatives, ensuring alignment with Group Key Deliverable (KD) programme objectives.
- Provide expert guidance across complex, multi-stage programmes.
Prioritisation & Coordination
- Drive decision-making on competing priorities to ensure delivery of strategic objectives and regulatory commitments.
- Challenge and guide senior stakeholders to meet deadlines and standards.

Business Analysis
- Lead problem-solving, operating model design, and solution architecture for data-driven regulatory change initiatives.
Leadership
- Oversee the operation of the C-AFC Data Transformation Programme Office, ensuring adherence to deliverables and live regulatory responsibilities.
Collaboration
- Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders—both technical and non-technical—to deliver high-quality outcomes within budget, resources, and timelines.
Regulatory Delivery
- Support execution of regulatory programmes, ensuring strong governance, accountability, and long-term sustainability in data management.
- Act as a trusted advisor on evidence-based solutions to regulatory challenges.
Your Skills & Experience
Please ensure you can demonstrate at least the following:
- Extensive project experience in complex banking transformation projects, preferably within compliance technology.
- Programme leadership skills, including defining and steering programmes of work in senior roles.
- Detailed knowledge of:
- Data management frameworks
- Data governance and quality standards
- Data lineage models
- Control and risk frameworks
- Strong ability to simplify technical concepts and communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
- Mastery of business analysis techniques, including process mapping, requirements capture, and architectural design.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders, balancing expectations, and resolving conflicts constructively.
