Contract Data Architect
South Coast | Hybrid, 3+ days onsite | 3-month contract | Up to £765 per day | SC clearance required
SR2 is partnering with an exciting client to find an experienced Data Architect for a complex, mission-critical digital programme. You’ll define and lead secure, resilient data architecture across edge, on-premise and cloud environments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning end-to-end data architecture
- Designing scalable platforms for low-bandwidth and disconnected environments
- Establishing real-time data ingestion, streaming and analytics patterns
- Integrating high-volume, sensor-driven and operational data
- Providing architectural governance and technical leadership
- Working closely with engineering, security and operational teams

What we’re looking for:
- Senior Data Architecture experience in regulated or mission-critical environments
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, data lakes and lakehouse patterns
- Experience with AWS or Azure, hybrid cloud and edge environments
- Knowledge of Kafka, Kinesis, APIs and event-driven architecture
- A security-first mindset and strong stakeholder management skills
- Active SC clearance or above

Contract: Initial 3 months, extension likely
Rate: Up to £765 per day
