Data Modernisation Architect - £650 - £750 Per Day – 6 Months – Remote – Investment Banking

Overview:

A global Investment Bank are searching for an experienced Data Modernisation Architect to join the organisation and assist with a legacy data exit project due to run for the next 18 months.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex legacy data warehouse migration and decommissioning initiatives.
  • Analyse legacy data usage, dependencies, and consumption patterns across business and technology functions.
  • Define and execute migration strategies, including data validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
  • Manage parallel runs, live proving, and production readiness activities to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Collaborate with business, data, architecture, operations, and risk stakeholders to drive delivery outcomes.
  • Provide strong client-facing leadership, communicating effectively with senior executives and programme sponsors.
  • Facilitate decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups and manage competing priorities.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure robust migration execution and governance.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms is required; Databricks experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex enterprise-scale data transformation programmes in regulated environments.
