Data Modernisation Architect - £650 - £750 Per Day – 6 Months – Remote – Investment Banking
Overview:
A global Investment Bank are searching for an experienced Data Modernisation Architect to join the organisation and assist with a legacy data exit project due to run for the next 18 months.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead complex legacy data warehouse migration and decommissioning initiatives.
- Analyse legacy data usage, dependencies, and consumption patterns across business and technology functions.
- Define and execute migration strategies, including data validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
- Manage parallel runs, live proving, and production readiness activities to ensure a seamless transition.
- Collaborate with business, data, architecture, operations, and risk stakeholders to drive delivery outcomes.
- Provide strong client-facing leadership, communicating effectively with senior executives and programme sponsors.
- Facilitate decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups and manage competing priorities.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure robust migration execution and governance.
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms is required; Databricks experience is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of delivering complex enterprise-scale data transformation programmes in regulated environments.
