Data Architect

Banking & Investment Management | London | Hybrid (4 Days Office-Based) | £600 per day | Long-term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect / Data Modelling Consultant with a strong background in banking, wealth management, or investment management to join a major financial services programme. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping the target-state reporting and analytics landscape within a modern cloud-based data platform. This is a data modelling and consulting-focused position, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with both business and technology stakeholders to design scalable reporting and analytics data models. The role is centered on defining future-state data architecture rather than platform or infrastructure architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse existing data models and architectures to define target-state reporting and analytics data models.
  • Design logical, physical, dimensional, and analytical data models using industry best practices.
  • Develop scalable data structures to support reporting, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.
  • Translate complex business, regulatory, and reporting requirements into effective data models.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.
  • Establish data modelling standards, governance frameworks, and architectural principles.
  • Support the design of modern layered and medallion data architectures.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and regulatory reporting requirements are embedded within data solutions.
  • Provide architectural leadership, guidance, and consultancy to delivery teams and stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
