About The Role

At System C, data is at the core of how we support health and social care organizations in delivering better outcomes. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect specializing in Business Systems to join our dynamic team. This is a newly created role designed to shape the future of data management across our diverse business systems. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing best practices for data governance, integration, and quality assurance as the function evolves. You will serve as a key point of contact for data across platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Percursive, and Jira, ensuring data accuracy, connectivity, and value delivery to the organization.

This position offers a hands-on opportunity to take ownership of data flows, governance frameworks, and system integrations. You will work closely with stakeholders from Finance, Sales, HR, and Services to bring together data from various sources, improve its quality, and create a trusted'source of truth' that informs strategic decision-making. Your expertise will help enhance reporting capabilities and support a data-driven culture within the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working with data across multiple enterprise systems, with a focus on data integration, governance, and quality. Experience in a Data, Business Intelligence, or Business Systems role with a desire to transition into a more strategic, architect-focused position is highly desirable. You should have a solid understanding of system integrations, data flows, and how data moves between platforms. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and implementing solutions is critical to succeed in this role.

Relevant qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Certifications in data management, cloud platforms, or enterprise architecture (such as TOGAF, AWS, or Microsoft Azure certifications) are advantageous. Demonstrated experience with GDPR and other data privacy regulations is also important, ensuring all data activities comply with security and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop data governance practices across business systems, collaborating closely with system owners to establish and refine processes that ensure data integrity and security.
  • Manage and optimize data flows and integrations between key platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Percursive, and Jira, ensuring seamless data movement and synchronization.
  • Work with system owners and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and high quality, fostering a culture of data excellence.
  • Define, implement, and maintain a reliable source of truth for critical business data, supporting accurate reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, HR, Sales, and Services to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Support the enhancement of reporting capabilities and develop data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure all data handling activities comply with security, privacy, and regulatory obligations, including GDPR and other relevant standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to refine data management practices and leverage new technologies and methodologies.
