Job Description – Data Architect (London, UK)
Location: London, UK (Hybrid–10 days/month onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to support a strategic transformation programme focused on modernising underwriting and platform capabilities within the insurance domain. The role is highly hands-on, with a strong focus on conceptual and logical data modelling, aligning enterprise data architecture, and ensuring consistency across multiple delivery workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain conceptual and logical data models.
- Align data architecture with London Market data standards.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Solution Architects, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent implementation of data models across platforms.
- Support enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Identify and resolve data quality, integration, and consistency issues.
- Work closely with the CDO to ensure governance standards are followed.
- Support future PAS alignment and scalable platform design.

Required Skills
- Strong experience as a Data Architect in enterprise transformation programmes.
- Expertise in conceptual and logical data modelling.
- Insurance domain experience, particularly underwriting and policy lifecycle.
- Knowledge of London Market data models and standards.
- Experience with Snowflake, ETL/ELT processes, and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data integration, pipelines, and analytics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Collibra or similar data governance tools.
- Knowledge of Astronomer or Apache Airflow.
- Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and enterprise data architecture.
