Data Architect - Manager | Clara Technology & Solutions
KPMG Audit Clara Technology & Solutions is expanding its architecture capability to support the future of data-driven decision-making across the firm.
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to play a key role in designing, implementing and assuring data solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Working closely with the Audit Lead Architect, you will help define and embed data architecture principles, standards and best practices across the Audit domain. You'll lead data workstreams on major technology transformation programmes, ensuring data solutions are trusted, well-governed and aligned to the wider business strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence enterprise-wide data architecture while working with senior stakeholders across a highly regulated environment.

What will you be doing?
- Support and embed data architecture standards, principles and best practices across Audit.
- Lead data architecture activities on technology transformation programmes, ensuring alignment to business and data strategy.
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models, data mappings and lineage documentation.
- Support metadata management, data cataloguing and architecture repository governance.
- Apply data governance, traceability, lineage, master data and reference data management practices.
- Support the design of data schemas and ETL/ELT solutions to enable secure and effective data consumption.
- Ensure data solutions meet regulatory, governance and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into practical data solutions.
- Communicate data architecture concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Champion trusted, well-governed and reusable data practices across the organisation.

What are we looking for?
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- Extensive experience in data architecture and data modelling, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex data solutions.
- Strong understanding of data management concepts such as data analysis, traceability, lineage, system of record and authority, master and reference data management.
- Hands-on experience in creating conceptual, logical and physical data models.
- Experience in creating data maps and lineage documents.
- Experience in designing and implementing metadata management capabilities.
- Understanding of defining data schemas and ETL/ELT solutions for data consumption, validation and secure storage.
- Understanding of regulatory obligations related to data management, including experience working within a highly regulated framework.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand organizational business capabilities and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of data modelling tools such as ER/Studio Data Architect.
- Experience with data catalogue and metadata management tools.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft data technology stack.
- Experience with Informatica and master/reference data management tooling.
- Understanding of data management frameworks such as DAMA.
Amazing extras
- Relevant professional experience in data architecture, data modelling, or enterprise data management is required. Knowledge of recognized data management frameworks, including DAMA, is desirable.
