Solution & Data Architect
Overview
A leading professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Solution & Data Architect to join its technology strategy and architecture function. This role will focus on designing and delivering robust, secure, and scalable data and technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
You will play a key role in shaping enterprise architecture, driving innovation, and ensuring high standards across data, infrastructure, and security.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture
- Design and deliver scalable, high-performance data and technology solutions
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and specifications
- Lead selection of appropriate technologies and tools
- Architect cloud-native and hybrid solutions (primarily Azure)
- Improve end-user experience across integrated systems

Data Architecture
- Develop and maintain enterprise data architecture
- Implement data governance frameworks and lifecycle management
- Optimise data storage, processing, and accessibility
Security & Governance
- Embed security principles into all architectural designs
- Conduct security assessments and support compliance requirements
- Collaborate with risk and compliance teams
Enterprise Architecture
- Align technology solutions with business strategy and outcomes
- Maintain architecture frameworks and standards
- Support long-term strategic planning
Additional Areas
- Business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- ESG-aligned architecture and sustainability considerations
- Technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration
- Evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies (including AI)
- Documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication

Candidate Profile
- Proven experience across solution, data, and security architecture
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS) and modern cloud design
- Broad technical capability across infrastructure, data, and enterprise architecture
- Experience with data governance and working in regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including senior/executive audiences
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset with experience leading or mentoring teams
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to support architectural and analytical work
