Data Architect

Data Architect — Enterprise Data Strategy Role

About the Team: At OSB Group, our Technology and Data functions are central to delivering our strategy and supporting our purpose—helping more people securely achieve their ambitions.

We’re scaling our enterprise data capability and recruiting a Senior Data Architect to define how we organise, govern, and consume data across the OSB Group.

This is a strategic role, responsible for designing and implementing a high-performance, enterprise-wide data architecture. You’ll ensure our architecture aligns with OSB’s business objectives, regulatory standards (including GDPR and Basel), and underpins trusted, scalable data use for analytics, AI, and modern data ecosystems.

As a Chief Data Architect, you’ll report to the Group Head of Data Architecture and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data specialists, and engineering teams to build:

  • Modelling standards
  • Security frameworks
  • Governance policies
  • Legacy system transitions

Location Flexibility This role is based in Wolverhampton, London, or Chatham, with regular traveller status to London for non-local teams.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be at the heart of OSB’s data transformation, responsible for:

  • Designing the Enterprise‐Wide Data Architecture

    • Define and maintain OSB’s data models, standards, and blueprints, ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory expectations, and governance policies.
    • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models, supporting cloud-native data processing in Azure/Databricks ecosystems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Partner with business teams to translate data domain needs into architectural requirements.
    • Simplify complex technical decisions for non-technical stakeholders, fostering trust in OSB’s structured, integrated, and compliant data.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
