About the role
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Data Cabling Apprentice to join our growing cabling team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their career in network infrastructure and data cabling. You will receive full training to develop your skills in installing, testing, and maintaining structured cabling systems within commercial environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice to join the Data Cabling team and to undertake a Level 3 Network Cable Installer apprenticeship.
What you will be doing
- Assist with the installation of structured data cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre optic cables.
- Support the termination, testing, and labelling of network outlets and patch panels.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and floor plans.
- Assist in the installation of containment systems, including trunking, conduit, and cable trays.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment on all job sites.
- Work alongside experienced engineers to gain practical skills and technical knowledge.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.

You will suit the role if you have
- An interest in IT networks, telecommunications, or electrical engineering.
- Good practical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn.
- A full UK Driving license (desirable)
Please note that, in line with the security vetting criteria associated with this position, candidates must be aged 18 or above and be either a UK national or able to demonstrate continuous UK residency for a minimum of 5 years.

Salary
£17,000 per annum
Location and Working Arrangements
You will be based in Central London with travel to various sites across London and further afield when required.
Hours of Work
Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday

Interview Process
We generally conduct interviews in three stages, lasting approximately 2-3 weeks depending on everyone’s calendars.
