Our mission: To deliver technology like no other!
About the Role
As a Data Cabling Engineer, you will be part of a trusted team delivering structured cabling and network infrastructure services to a highly respected client. This role involves working on a secure and historically significant estate, supporting the delivery of reliable, high-speed connectivity and critical IT services.
You will be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of structured cabling systems to support enterprise-grade broadband, Wi-Fi, and managed network solutions within a complex and sensitive environment.
Due to the nature of this position, all applicants must be eligible for security clearance.
What You Will Be Doing
- Install and maintain structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, and fibre optic) across the estate.
- Conduct terminations, testing, and certification using Fluke or equivalent testing equipment.
- Install and maintain cable containment (trunking, tray, conduit) with high-quality finishes suitable for both heritage and modern settings.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure including racks, patch panels, and active hardware.
- Collaborate with network engineers and project managers to deliver secure and reliable installations.
- Complete all work to exacting standards while complying with client security protocols and access procedures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
