About The Role
Our Data Centre Operations team is at the physical core of our business, responsible for building, maintaining, and operating the cutting-edge infrastructure that powers the cloud. This team ensures the stability, security, and scalability of our physical assets, working hands-on in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment. You will join a collaborative and curious group that is essential to delivering a best-in-class experience for our clients.
As the Data Centre Manager, you will be the on-site leader responsible for the operational excellence of our Glasgow facility. In this hands-on leadership role, you will:
- Guide a team of technicians through hardware diagnostics, physical repairs, and new equipment installations while implementing best practices to maximise uptime.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all on-site activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams to respond to technical emergencies and ensure the reliability of critical infrastructure.
- Directly influence the performance, scalability, and operational maturity of the site.

Who You Are
Essential Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data centre operations, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including:
- Servers
- Networking equipment
- Cooling systems (e.g., liquid cooling, HVAC)
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Proficiency with the Linux Operating System.
- Experience with data centre management tools and software.
- Excellent time management, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in elevated locations.
- Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational environment (on-call rotations, after-hours support).
- Quick decision-making ability and task prioritisation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or equivalent.

Starting salary will be determined based on market rates, experience, and location. We focus on fair compensation and internal equity, complemented by a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a robust benefits package.
