Data Center Project Manager
Microsoft Data Center Project Manager (DCPM)
About the Role
As a Microsoft Data Center Project Manager (DCPM), you will:
- Perform troubleshooting for service incidents
- Manage assigned projects to meet service delivery objectives
- Escalate to appropriate stakeholders to remove obstacles
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents
- Build a solid understanding of data center procedures
- Collaborate across various teams
- Provide mentorship across data centers

Responsibilities
- Monitor cost adherence against budget, maintaining financial responsibility
- Safely and securely report any safety or security issues or concerns
- Perform troubleshooting for service incidents and escalate appropriately to meet SLA/OLAs, reducing disruption
- Assess potential risks and impacts (e.g., customer lockdown) and communicate accordingly
- Proactively align schedules to avoid conflicts
- Manage customer expectations, identify solutions, and offer alternatives
- Maintain relational alignment with clients and suppliers to clarify, understand, and document expectations
- Identify risk-reduction opportunities for maintenance and accommodate scheduling needs -Hold personal accountability for service quality, completeness, and customer experience (e.g., availability, safety, security, service)
- Escalate issues to the correct owners where necessary
- Embed our culture and values in all professional actions

Qualifications
Required Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND industry experience OR
- Industry experience and college coursework
Background Check Requirements
Candidates must meet Microsoft’s security screening requirements, including:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check (upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter)
Preferred Skills
Experience in physical IT infrastructure (e.g.:)
- UPS, Generators, AHU, Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, Structured Cabling
- Technical Degree or Field: Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, PMP, ITIL, CDCP

Compensation and Benefits
- Base Pay Range (UK) | £46,400 - £80,400 per year
- The role remains open for at least 5 days; applications accepted ongoing.
