Data Centre Engineer

Client: Trading Salary: £60,000–£85,000 + Bonus Location: London (with 15% international travel)

Our client, an established Trading firm, is seeking a Data Centre Engineer to maintain and manage their data centre operations in the London area, including occasional international travel.


About the Role

The Data Centre Engineer role involves technical support, infrastructure maintenance and project work across multiple data centres globally. Responsibilities include ensuring reliable operations, handling racking, cabling, server administration, and monitoring systems like cooling and power.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain services in global Data Centres
  • Perform racking, stacking and cabling activities
  • Execute project work, including Data Centre expansions
  • Monitor cooling and power systems
  • Handle Windows & Linux administration

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Centres
  • Hands-on experience with cabling
  • Familiarity with server hardware from multiple vendors
  • Preferred: Windows & Linux administration skills
  • Strong documentation abilities
  • Must be able to travel on short notice to local and international Data Centre sites
