Data Centre Shift Supervisor
Farnborough | £40,000 to £46,000 | Full-time, site-based
Run the shift, own the floor. A market-leading IT infrastructure services provider needs a supervisor to head up day-to-day delivery inside a live enterprise data centre campus. It's a great step up for a senior cabling engineer or team leader who wants real ownership without leaving the tools completely behind.
The role
You'll lead a small on-site team handling change requests and routine operations for a single high-profile client. Expect a mix of planning, people and hands-on oversight: lining up the week's work, keeping the client happy, and making sure every job gets closed out cleanly and on time.

Day to day
- Lead the crew delivering MACs and routine works around the campus
- Build the schedule, share out the workload and keep shift cover watertight
- Oversee copper and fibre installs, removals and kit relocations
- Watch service targets and raise a flag early when something slips
- Liaise with the client, internal teams and outside contractors
- Keep records, reports and the asset register straight
- Pitch in on faults and first-line technical queries
You'll need
- A background in MAC delivery inside live data centres
- Solid copper and fibre skills, from termination through to test and diagnosis
- Experience running a shift or leading a small team
- Familiarity with ticket queues, asset registers and vendor coordination
- Comfort in an always-on, round-the-clock operation

Nice to have (not required)
- BICSI, CDCTP, CDCMP, CompTIA, CCNA or ITIL
- Time served in banking or other enterprise-grade facilities
