- Rate: £1,200 per day (Inside IR35)
Overview
An exciting opportunity for someone experienced in Data Centre Strategy & Offering to play a key role in shaping the future of a UK Data Centre portfolio as part of a wider Sovereign Infrastructure strategy.
This role is responsible for defining and executing the strategy, vision, roadmap and market positioning for a UK Data Centre estate, ensuring alignment with both local and global portfolio objectives. Working across UK, European and global teams, you will drive the development of Data Centre-related offerings and capabilities that support ambitions to become a market leader in Sovereign Services, Advanced Compute, AI, HPC and Quantum solutions.
The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of Data Centre services and the commercial value they create. This is not a traditional Data Centre Operations or Infrastructure Transformation role. Instead, the focus is on defining how Data Centre capabilities can be developed, positioned and integrated into wider customer solutions to generate demand, drive growth and support long-term business objectives.
You will work closely with stakeholders, partners, analysts and customers to ensure the UK Data Centre portfolio remains relevant to evolving market needs and aligned with future technology trends.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the strategic vision, roadmap and market direction for the UK Data Centre portfolio.
- Develop and evolve the UK Data Centre value proposition in support of a Sovereign Infrastructure strategy.
- Identify opportunities to create or enhance offerings that increase demand for the UK Data Centre estate.
- Ensure Data Centre capabilities are effectively aligned with wider organisational offerings across UK, European, Partner and Global portfolios.
- Lead the development, lifecycle management and roadmap of Data Centre-related offerings from concept through to retirement.
- Translate Data Centre capabilities into compelling customer and business value propositions.
- Assess market trends and customer demand relating to Hosting, Colocation, Sovereign Infrastructure, AI, HPC, Advanced Compute and associated services.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and supporting business cases for new Data Centre initiatives.
- Engage with customers, partners and industry analysts to understand market requirements and communicate Data Centre strategy.
- Provide leadership across a complex stakeholder landscape including UK, European, Global and Partner organisations.
- Support the planning and execution of transformation initiatives across the UK Data Centre estate.
- Enable sales and delivery teams through effective market positioning, offering documentation and internal engagement.
- Act as a recognised subject matter expert for Data Centre strategy, market trends and industry developments.
- Work closely with business and technology leaders to ensure offerings are commercially viable, technically feasible and aligned to customer demand.
- Drive delivery against agreed portfolio objectives, strategic priorities and key performance indicators.

Experience Required
- Extensive experience developing Data Centre strategies, services or offerings within a global systems integrator, managed services provider, hosting organisation or data centre specialist.
- Strong understanding of Data Centre commercial models, hosting services and infrastructure markets.
- Experience developing portfolio strategies, product roadmaps and go-to-market plans.
- Knowledge of key Data Centre considerations including capacity planning, power, cooling, resilience, connectivity and utilisation.
- Understanding of current and emerging trends across Sovereign Hosting, AI infrastructure, HPC environments and Advanced Compute services.
- Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and operate within large, complex, matrix organisations.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategic objectives into measurable business outcomes.
- Experience working within multinational or global enterprise environments.
- Background in Data Centre services, hosting, colocation or sovereign infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
