The Role: Data Centre Supervisor
The Data Centre Supervisor plays a key role in delivering IT cabling infrastructure support services across client data centre environments. The role is site-based and responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC) activities and Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations, while supporting efficient day-to-day service delivery and operational improvements.

Working closely with the Data Centre Manager, Service Delivery Manager and client stakeholders, the role contributes to planning, execution, and continuous improvement of operational processes in a high-availability, 24/7 environment.
TRAVEL - Occasional travel to another site in Watford may be required
What you’ll be doing as our Data Centre Supervisor:
- Deliver MAC and BAU activities across data centre and campus environments
- Support planning, scheduling and execution of works to meet client requirements
- Monitor and ensure SLA performance, escalating risks and issues where required
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients and third-party vendors to maintain service excellence
- Supervise cabling, installation, decommissioning and equipment handling activities within data centres
- Manage workload allocation, resource planning and shift coverage
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, quality standards and client processes
- Support incident management, troubleshooting and first-line technical support activities
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and asset tracking systems
- Participate in operational, client and team meetings and contribute to ongoing service improvements

What we’re looking for in our Data Centre Supervisor:
Essential
- Relevant experience in a Data Centre MAC (Moves, Adds & Changes) environment
- Extensive experience in structured cabling installation, testing and fault finding
- Strong knowledge of cabling standards (copper & fibre) and data centre infrastructure
- Proven experience in asset management, ticketing systems and service delivery processes
- Ability to supervise shift activities and support project delivery from design through to handover
- Experience managing third-party vendors and working in large-scale, operational environments
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure within a 24/7 operational environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Industry certifications (e.g. CompTIA Server+, Network+, CCNA, ITIL)
- Data Centre or cabling certifications (e.g. BICSI, CDCTP, CDCMP)
- Previous experience within banking or enterprise data centre environments
