Data Commercialisation Lead
Data Sales Lead – Fuse Energy
We’re Fuse Energy, a cutting-edge renewable energy startup transforming the global energy system. With $170M in funding from top-tier investors (including Multicoin, Balderton, Solana co-founder Nico Rosberg, and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify, Uber), we’re building the future of energy—from solar, wind and hydrogen projects to real-time power trading, smart energy networks, and decentralised grid balancing. Our mission? To deliver terawatts of renewable energy—fast.
Now, we’re scaling our commercial data business, and we’re looking for a Data Sales Lead to pioneer this exciting new venture.
About the Role
You will build and scale Fuse Energy’s data business from zero, defining a go-to-market strategy, establishing relationships with hedge funds, asset managers, and institutional investors, and owning the full sales lifecycle for our proprietary datasets and AI-driven analytics.
This is a zero-to-one opportunity. You’ll shape the future of our commercial data products—ranging from energy supply and robotics analytics—align our offerings with market demand, and establish a scalable, high-growth sales engine for institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, launch, and refine data product strategy, working closely with engineering, product, and research teams to refine offerings based on customer feedback.
- Prospect, onboard, and retain institutional clients—including hedge funds, quantitative funds, energy traders, and AI/industrial infrastructure firms.
- Commercialise complex datasets across energy markets, smart grids, AI/ML infrastructure, robotics, and digital industrialisation, converting technical insights into scalable revenue models.
- Develop pricing, licensing, and subscription models for high-value data products.
- Drive demand aggregation by aligning Fuse’s proprietary datasets with market needs—bridging data granularity, real-time analytics, and actionable intelligence.
- Establish long-term partnerships with clients, ensuring continuous engagement with evolving market priorities.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to validate and scale new data offerings in high-growth environments.
- Build a go-to-market roadmap for Fuse’s data business, identifying market gaps and untapped opportunities in institutional investing.
- Lead internal and external communications on data use cases, market trends, and competitive differentiation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
