Job Opportunity: Data Coordinator & Speciality Secretary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team within the North Lancashire and South Cumbria Breast Screening Programme at Morecambe Bay Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We have a part-time (30 hours per week to be worked across 4 days Tue-Fri) permanent position available, based in the Breast Screening Unit at Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
Role Summary
We are looking to recruit a Data Coordinator & Speciality Secretary who will:
- Collate, input, and record service data
- Provide a full secretarial service, including transcribing clinical information from digital dictation systems
The successful applicant will ensure data quality is maintained for accurate reporting of local and national key performance indicators and will be a focal point for all aspects related to service data and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure data quality for accurate reporting of key performance indicators
- Work closely with the Very High Risk/Senior Data Coordinator
- Input complex histology data and compile reports
- Provide a robust and comprehensive secretarial and administration service
Requirements
- Flexible and positive approach to work
- Good standard of education
- Previous secretarial and data experience through the use of multiple IT systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines with high standards of accuracy

Working Environment
We operate from three main hospitals—Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
