Data Engineer Remote (UK-based, with occasional office travel) | £45,000 + benefits This is a standout opportunity for an early-career Data Engineer to join a growing, well-supported data team that is investing heavily in modernisation and advanced analytics. The Role You will join a growing data platform team working within a modern cloud-based environment, transitioning to a Databricks Lakehouse architecture on Azure. You will contribute to building scalable data pipelines and improving engineering standards across the platform. Responsibilities include: Building and maintaining robust data pipelines using Python and PySpark Supporting CI/CD processes and applying DevOps best practices Contributing to code deployment, testing, and release processes Collaborating with engineers, QA specialists, and machine learning teams Working across multiple squads to deliver high-quality data solutions Supporting the ongoing development of the Databricks platform Gaining exposure to data modelling and machine learning workflows over time Your Skills & Experience Hands-on experience with Python and data engineering concepts Exposure to PySpark and large-scale data processing Familiarity with Databricks or similar modern data platforms Understanding of software engineering principles and version control Interest in CI/CD, DevOps, and scalable system design Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Motivation to learn and grow within a high-performing team Desirable: Exposure to AWS or cloud environments Experience with data modelling or analytics workflows What They Offer Primarily remote working with minimal office requirements Flexible working hours and a strong work-life balance culture Structured learning and development within a modern data environment Opportunity to transition into a permanent role with long-term career progression Exposure to machine learning and advanced analytics initiatives How to Apply If you are looking to build your career in Data Engineering within a supportive and forward-thinking team, apply now to learn more.
