About The Role
We are collaborating with AND Digital to connect exceptional professionals with a challenging and rewarding opportunity as a Lead Data Engineer. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines that enable organizations to leverage their data for decision-making and advanced analytics. You will work within agile, multi-disciplinary teams to deploy modern data platforms, ensuring data quality, flow, and organization align with best practices and DataOps culture. Your expertise will help transform raw data into trustworthy, discoverable, and actionable data products that add significant value to our clients' operations. This position offers a unique chance to work on large-scale data projects, utilizing the latest cloud technologies and data engineering tools, while contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with hands-on expertise in developing production-grade data pipelines
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with task orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or equivalent
- Extensive experience with Snowflake; experience with Databricks is a plus
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related services (e.g., AWS Redshift, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Glue, Lambda, QuickSight)
- Practical knowledge of DataOps practices, including CI/CD, version control, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Understanding of data modeling approaches and data quality management
- Ability to translate stakeholder needs into robust data product specifications
- Experience working in agile environments within large organizations
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bridge technical and business requirements
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to facilitate data-driven decision-making and advanced analytics
- Ensure data quality, flow, and organization meet industry standards and best practices
- Implement DataOps principles to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring of data solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Utilize cloud services and modern tools to optimize data platform performance and security
- Adopt a Data Product mindset, ensuring datasets are discoverable, trustworthy, and self-describing for downstream consumers
- Translate complex stakeholder needs into technical specifications and actionable data products
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team
