Data Engineer
Location: London (1 day per week)
Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 + Benefits
We're supporting an exciting business that is investing heavily in its data platform and is looking to hire two Data Engineers to join a growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern Google Cloud environment, building scalable data pipelines and helping shape a platform that underpins analytics, reporting and AI driven initiatives.
What you'll be doing
- Designing, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Developing and optimising datasets within BigQuery
- Building ingestion pipelines from APIs and multiple data sources
- Working across Python and SQL to transform and prepare data
- Improving data quality, monitoring and pipeline performance
- Collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to deliver reliable, production ready data products
- Contributing to the ongoing evolution of the data platform

Tech stack

Experience with AI enabled data pipelines or machine learning workflows would be beneficial but is not essential.
We're looking for someone who has
- Commercial experience building data pipelines in GCP
- Strong BigQuery knowledge
- Solid Python and SQL skills
- Experience with modern data modelling and transformation practices
- A passion for building reliable, scalable data platforms
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders
