We're looking for a talented Data Engineer to join a fast-growing, product focused business where you'll work alongside an experienced Data Engineering Manager and collaborative Data Engineering team to build and scale a modern Databricks data platform.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands on engineering, solving complex technical challenges, and working in a highly collaborative environment where your work has a real impact on the products the business delivers. As the business continues to invest in AI, you'll also have the opportunity to work on cutting edge Agentic AI initiatives, helping to build intelligent, data driven applications that support the next generation of products.
The Role
You'll become part of a close knit Data Engineering team, helping to design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines while contributing to the evolution of a modern Azure Databricks platform. Working closely with the Data Engineering Manager, you'll gain exposure to architecture decisions, engineering best practices and modern data platform technologies while also contributing to the development of AI Powered and Agentic AI solutions that leverage the organisation's data platform.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Databricks
- Writing high quality Python and PySpark code
- Building robust ETL/ELT pipelines for large scale datasets
- Integrating multiple data sources, including APIs
- Working with Azure based data services to build scalable and reliable solutions
- Collaborating on the development and integration of Agentic AI applications
- Supporting data pipelines that power AI, analytics, and machine learning workloads
- Working closely with Product, Frontend, and Backend Engineering teams
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the Azure Databricks platform
- Driving engineering best practices around testing, performance, data quality, and maintainability
- Troubleshooting production issues and continuously improving platform performance

What We're Looking For:
Essential
- Commercial experience with Databricks
- Strong Python and PySpark skills
- Solid SQL skills
- Experience building production-grade data pipelines
- Experience working with API-based data ingestion
- Experience working with Azure cloud technologies
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT principles and modern data engineering practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for building high quality, scalable data solutions

Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Delta Lake, or Unity Catalog
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices
- Experience integrating Microsoft Dynamics or other enterprise applications
- Exposure to product-led or fast-paced engineering environments
- Experience working Agentic AI solutions
- Experience building data platforms that support AI or machine learning workloads
