Data Engineer
Senior Data Engineer Roles (Active SC Clearance Required)
Agilis Recruitment are supporting a world-leading Technology Consultancy in their search for experienced data engineers with Active SC Clearance.
These roles will contribute to data acquisition, preparation, and management, helping modernise services and deliver secure, reliable data products at scale.
What You’ll Bring
The team delivers end-to-end data solutions across diverse technologies. They are looking for candidates with:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong SQL and hands-on experience with data modelling
- Experience with ETL/ELT tooling, including:
- Talend
- Pentaho DI
- Informatica
- AWS Glue
- SAS
- Familiarity with databases and data platforms, ideally:
- Oracle
- Cloudera
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, such as:
- Python
- Bash
- Deep understanding of data engineering fundamentals, including:
- Data integration
- Transformation
- Orchestration
- Version control
- Strong client-facing and consultancy skills
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Commitment to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and team development

Desirable
- Experience with SAS Viya for data analytics
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools, including:
- Berlin/JS7 Job Scheduler
- TWS
- Apache Airflow
- Knowledge of Denodo for data virtualisation
- Experience with reporting and visualisation tools, such as:
- Pentaho BA
- Power BI
- SAP Business Objects
- Experience with ALM Tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
