Data Engineer
Location: Remote (2 days a month in office)
Salary: £60,000 to £75,000 plus 10% bonus
An established UK insurtech is hiring Data Engineers into a growing data and AI function. Modern stack, real investment behind the platform, and a lot of interesting ML and GenAI work in flight.
The role
You'll sit within a collaborative team of data and AI engineers, scientists, analysts, and architects, building and supporting data products, developing pipelines, integrating varied data sources, and helping raise engineering standards across the wider community. Real exposure to ML and GenAI infrastructure too.

Tech stack
- Databricks on AWS
- PySpark, Python, SQL
- Airflow
- Terraform
- Git, Jenkins
- Docker and Kubernetes (useful)
What we're looking for
- Strong hands-on Databricks and PySpark experience (essential)
- Proven Python skills including Spark and Airflow
- Advanced SQL and end-to-end modelling experience
- Experience with both batch and real-time integrations
- Comfortable with CI/CD, Git, and IaC (Terraform ideally)
- Passion for scalable, resilient cloud data platforms
