Data Engineer
Data Engineer with AI Knowledge
Salary: Competitive salary and package (depending on level of experience) Locations: London, Manchester, Birmingham, or Bristol (must be willing to travel to client sites throughout the UK ad hoc)

Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & AI Integration
- Deploy machine learning models into production and implement performance monitoring measures.
- Design, implement, and orchestrate ETL pipelines using batch and streaming technologies (aligned with software engineering best practices).
- Define, document, and iterate data mappings based on data modeling principles.
- Re-engineer pipelines to ensure scalability, robustness, automation, and repeatability.
- Navigate, explore, and query large-scale datasets efficiently.
- Build data transformation processes, data structures, and metadata frameworks for dependency and workflow management.
- Identify and resolve data quality, mapping, database, and application issues.
- Integrate operational systems with analytics and BI systems via optimized data flows.
- Deliver high-quality, well-documented code, including:
- Unit, feature, and integration tests
- Stubs and CI/CD pipeline integration.

Qualifications & Requirements
Accenture seeks Data Engineers with diverse experience, from entry-level to senior roles, with the following key proficiencies:
Technical Skills

Strong Python proficiency (pandas, NumPy, or equivalent).

Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure (extensive experience required).
-
Data technologies:
- Data warehousing/analytics lakes
- ETL/ELT pipelines (Talend, Airflow, or custom Python solutions).
- SQL & NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Distributed frameworks (Apache Spark, Kinesis, or similar).
- Software development best practices:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Test-driven development (TDD)
- Version control (Git)
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)

Data modeling with a focus on system architecture.

Demonstrable experience on at least one AI/ML project.

Machine learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn (or equivalent).

ML monitoring in production (e.g., evaluation metrics, alerts).

- Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Write clear, concise documentation and guidance notes.

- Demonstrate technical broad knowledge and appreciate interdisciplinary applications.
