Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer DataOps Engineer to build, automate, and support enterprise data platforms across Azure SQL Server and Snowflake ecosystems. The role focuses on data onboarding, migration, automation, platform engineering, and operational excellence, helping drive self-service capabilities and scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data ingestion, transformation, and migration solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Build reusable frameworks for data onboarding, schema deployment, validation, and automated data movement
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across SQL Server, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Snowflake
- Administer SQL Server environments hosted on Azure VMs, including security, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and access management
- Automate operational processes using SQL/Python/PowerShell
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and platform modernization initiatives
- Implement data quality, governance, audit logging, and security best practices
- Enable self-service onboarding capabilities and improve DataOps efficiency through automation and standardization
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions

Essential Skills:
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Advanced SQL Server development and administration skills
- Hands-on experience managing SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines
- Expertise in database migration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Storage, and Azure SQL
- Strong SQL, Python, and/or PowerShell scripting skills
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data formats (CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet, MDF, BAK)
- Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving capabilities
