Role Description
We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join our growing team. This is a full-time remote position where you'll work on modern cloud data platforms and enterprise-scale data engineering projects.
As a Data Engineer, you'll design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms using technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Power BI.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Building modern data lakehouse and data warehouse solutions
- Implementing Microsoft Fabric and Databricks solutions using Medallion Architecture
- Developing metadata-driven ingestion frameworks and reusable components
- Creating optimized data models for analytics and reporting
- Working with Delta Lake, Spark, SQL, and Python
- Implementing data governance, security, and access controls
- Building deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and CI/CD best practices
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing production data pipelines
- Collaborating with BI developers, analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver business value
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with experience in modern cloud data engineering.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with SQL and Python
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
- Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Experience designing scalable cloud-based data platforms
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Knowledge of Git and version control

Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with Azure Data Factory
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
- Experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
- Understanding of Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture
- Knowledge of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Experience implementing incremental loading and metadata-driven pipelines
- Familiarity with data governance concepts, RBAC, RLS, and Microsoft Purview
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and production support for data platforms
- Experience working with REST APIs, SFTP, or other enterprise data sources is a plus
Education & Other Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Passion for learning modern data engineering technologies and best practices
