Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric
Up to £60,000 + bonus
Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in Manchester
We are recruiting a Data Engineer for an internationally established business that is investing heavily in its data capability.
The company is building a new enterprise data platform using Microsoft Fabric, and this role will join the programme at an early stage. Rather than inheriting a finished environment, you will help develop the pipelines, data models and engineering standards that will support reporting, analytics and future AI initiatives across the organisation.
You will be working as part of a wider digital transformation programme within a global business operating across more than 30 countries. The platform has strong internal backing and is being designed as a long-term, scalable data capability rather than a short-term implementation project.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
