Data Engineer
Data Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week) Salary: £60,000 Base + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong Databricks experience to join our growing Data & Analytics team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Data Engineer looking to make an impact in a forward-thinking organisation.
The Data & Analytics team is in the early stages of implementing Databricks, with the aim of creating a centralised data platform to support multiple business applications, including Salesforce, HubSpot, and other key data sources.
This is a standalone role offering the opportunity for an experienced engineer to take ownership of the Databricks environment, establish best practices, and help shape the future data platform. We are looking for someone who is motivated, proactive, and excited by building something from the ground up.
Initially, the focus will be on data governance, platform setup, and establishing robust standards and processes, with technical support from a third-party partner. As the roadmap progresses, the role will evolve towards designing and developing data pipelines and expanding the Databricks platform.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
