Your Golf Travel is the world's largest golf travel specialist providing golf breaks and holidays across more than 3,000 locations in 22 countries, including the UK, Ireland, Europe, and beyond. Since our launch in 2004, we have seen swift expansion and now boast a team of over 180 professionals based in our offices in London, Brighton, St Andrews, and Killarney. Do I need to be a golfer? Not at all. We primarily operate as a travel company, with golf being just one aspect of our offerings. If you’re eager to learn, we’d be thrilled to equip you with all the knowledge you need about our product; however, we can’t promise you’ll become the next Tiger Woods. What we truly seek is a genuine passion for travel and an eagerness to learn.
As a Data Engineer primarily supporting Your Golf Travel and Premier Golf US—with opportunities to assist across the wider Palatinate Group—you will be the driving force behind our data-led decisions. Embodying our Customer First, Always mindset, your reporting and analysis will directly influence how we exceed expectations, shaping everything from website user experiences to supplier pricing, sales, and marketing strategies. You will Own it, Together by collaborating closely with senior management and key stakeholders, taking personal accountability to deliver actionable insights at pace and empower our internal teams with fast, efficient data infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Forge good working relationships and work closely with peers to deliver commercially appropriate data reporting solutions - management information and data insights
- Develop the most appropriate data reporting solutions to provide management information in an accurate and timely fashion that meets the needs of a fast-growing customer-focused set of businesses
- Ensuring daily data integration processes have completed successfully, identifying any errors/issues that may have occurred and taking appropriate action to ensure daily business reporting is not compromised in a timely manner
- Ensure adequate controls are in place to maintain data integrity across the data universe
- Enhance and develop the scope of data available, ensure new data sources are efficiently and effectively integrated into the reporting suite where appropriate
- Keep abreast of business and industry processes to maintain data integrity, data visualisation and document enhancements appropriately
- The ability to work with 3rd-party suppliers to help deliver and run data reporting solutions
- Keep abreast of changing trends and technical platforms in data engineering that would be appropriate for the Palatinate Group
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced with SQL (Google BigQuery a plus)
- Experienced with data visualisation tools (Tableau a plus)
- Experienced with Python (Airflow and dbt a plus)
- Experience with Jira a plus
- Experience with AI technology and tools a plus
- Able to quickly grasp the intricacies of an existing data model over a medium to large dataset (millions of rows), and extract meaningful insights
- Experience in developing and maintaining modern commercial management information systems
- Proactive, with the ability to recommend and implement improvements to existing schemas and processes where necessary
- Self-motivated, highly technically literate, and able to think in abstract concepts
- Works well in a team building good working relationships across functions
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
