- Build, enhance and support data engineering solutions across the end-to-end data lifecycle (sourcing, ingestion, warehousing, refinery, big data and cloud migration).
- Develop and maintain robust code using modern languages and approaches (e.g., Python, Scala; algorithms and engineering best practices).
- Partner with Data Architects and Analytical Engineers to shape solutions that meet HSBC architecture standards and technology controls.
- Contribute to delivering resilient, compliant data platforms and services that support analytics and data science use cases.
- Help unlock business value from HSBC’s data by delivering trusted, well-managed, well-governed datasets and pipelines.

- Experience with big data and cloud technologies (cloud infrastructure / cloud technologies)
- Data lifecycle and platform experience: ingestion, data warehousing, data refinery, data marts, migration
- Data governance and controls: data standards, stewardship, retention, enterprise data management
- Data architecture and modelling exposure (working alongside architects; translating designs into build)
