The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to support the ongoing development and optimisation of the organisation's Data Platform, ensuring it meets business needs for availability, performance, and data integrity.

- Create and continuously develop the Data Platform, ensuring its availability and performance to meet business needs
- Build data pipelines to connect APIs, files, databases, and data streams to the Data Platform
- Manage ETL/ELT processes end-to-end, including the dimensionally modelled semantic layer
- Define and embed data quality measures within data pipelines
- Ensure data integrity, monitoring, and alerting are integrated into all solutions
- Create and manage build and deployment pipelines
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions and successful business outcomes
- Work within an Agile Kanban workflow to safely code, review, test, and deploy solutions using source control
Your Experience
Our client is looking for a Data Engineer with strong Microsoft data platform experience and a passion for building scalable, high-quality data solutions.
- Extensive hands-on experience within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and/or Azure SQL
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Strong experience with dimensional modelling of operational data for analytics use cases
- Knowledge of ETL tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience using Python for scripting and automating data tasks
- Knowledge of CI/CD approaches for Data Platforms, primarily using Azure DevOps
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, Visual Studio, and SSDT projects
- Degree or equivalent qualification/experience in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI
