We have an exciting position available for a Data Engineer to join us!
You’ll design, implement and maintain a centralised data platform and data management system that consolidates data from business applications and other sources to act as the foundation for One Manchester’s one version of the truth dashboarding and reporting capabilities.
You’ll be the lead technical resource and specialist for data engineering and BI design, infrastructure and support within a cross-functional IT team, developing and maintaining an Azure based data warehouse.
What we’re looking for:
- Deep technical capability in designing, building and testing complex and large-scale data products.
- Experience of designing, developing and maintaining a data warehouse environment.
- SQL Server database knowledge and experience, with specialist Microsoft BI Stack skills.
- Knowledge and experience of data modelling, with the ability to provide insight using Power BI.
- Extensive data profiling and systems analysis experience.
- Familiarity with Azure or other public cloud platforms.
- Fully conversant with advanced concepts and principles of data modelling, capable of designing and producing complex, consistent data models across multiple subject areas.
- Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate issues and risks associated with development work.
