Job Title: Data Engineer - SQL & AI - Fully Remote
Location: UK Based - Fully Remote
Salary/Rate: Up to £425 per day
Start Date: 01/08/26
Job Type: Initial one year contract inside IR35
Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our enterprise global data analytics clients! They are currently looking for a skilled SQL Data Engineer / Data Management Engineer to join their team for an initial 12 month contract.
We are looking for individuals who can help create efficiencies through the use of AI-driven solutions and automation, alongside being strong communicators who can effectively analyse and articulate the value of contributory data that comes through to our clients teams.
We are not looking for a traditional Analytics function, this role has more of a Data Engineering and Data Management focus.
Whilst being comfortable working with large volumes of data, performing analysis, and carrying out testing activities are all important elements of the position, they should not be the primary focus of the candidate's experience. - An interest and experience in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance existing workflows.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working within data management, data engineering, or data operations environments.
- The ability to translate data findings into actionable outcomes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and distribute departmental reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Create efficiencies through the use of AI-driven solutions and automation.
- Create and execute SQL queries and other data extraction methods to fulfil customer and business data requests.
- Analyse data to identify trends, performance indicators, and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve data anomalies, discrepancies, and reporting issues.

Required Skills:
- A mindset focused on process improvement and efficiency creation.
- An interest and experience in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance existing workflows.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working within data management, data engineering, or data operations environments.
- The ability to translate data findings into actionable outcomes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and reporting tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, Cognos, Business Objects, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
