Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Remote
Contract Length: 3 Months

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a Durham-based organisation on a 3-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data warehouse solutions within an Oracle ecosystem. This role will focus on enabling reliable data integration, transformation, and reporting capabilities across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes within an Oracle data environment.
- Develop and optimise solutions within Oracle Data Warehouse platforms.
- Integrate data from Oracle Utilities and other enterprise systems.
- Work with Oracle BI Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Oracle Analytics Cloud to support reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Implement and manage data replication and streaming using Oracle GoldenGate.
- Develop data integration solutions using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Support and maintain Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) environments.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across the data platform.
- Collaborate with technical teams, data analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Troubleshoot data issues and optimise existing data pipelines and warehouse structures.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience working as a Data Engineer within an Oracle-based data environment.
- Proven experience with Oracle Data Warehouse and Autonomous Data Warehouse.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle GoldenGate.
- Experience supporting reporting platforms such as Oracle BI Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Oracle Utilities.
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
- Experience designing scalable data integration and ETL solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

- Experience within utilities, energy, or regulated industries.

- Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle environments.
