About The Role
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join Moody's Digital Content & Innovations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support Moody's next-generation digital content platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of data engineering, utilizing cutting-edge tools and cloud technologies to enable innovative content delivery and analytics. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand complex data requirements and deliver solutions that enhance data quality, scalability, and accessibility, ultimately supporting Moody's strategic objectives in digital transformation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, with a Master’s degree considered a plus. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience within a data engineering or software development team, demonstrating hands-on experience with data integration and ETL pipelines. Proficiency with tools such as Apache Airflow, dbt, and Python is essential. Strong database skills, including experience with Postgres SQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake, and Databricks, are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with technical teams, product owners, and stakeholders across the organization. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and an understanding of data considerations for AI and machine learning workloads will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and supporting highly scalable data engineering solutions that underpin Moody's digital content ecosystem. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines utilizing DataBricks, Snowflake, Apache Airflow, dbt (SQL), and Python within AWS cloud environment.
- Supporting platform optimization initiatives, infrastructure improvements, process control enhancements, and system upgrades to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Collaborating closely with Moody's technical teams and business partners during the design and implementation phases to ensure solutions meet organizational needs.
- Engaging with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient data solutions.
- Mentoring team members through code reviews, technical documentation, and workshops to foster knowledge sharing and best practices.
