Corporate IT | Enterprise Technology | Digital Transformation

For one of our clients, a large international organisation based in London, we are looking for a Data Engineering Lead to help modernise the company's enterprise data platform and deliver trusted, high-quality data that supports business operations, reporting, and strategic decision-making.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with IT, business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and analytics teams to build scalable data solutions that enable the organisation to make better use of its information across multiple business functions.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Leading the development of enterprise data platforms and integration services
  • Designing and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across multiple business systems
  • Supporting business intelligence, reporting, and data analytics initiatives
  • Integrating ERP, CRM, HR, finance, and operational systems into a unified data platform
  • Improving data quality, governance, security, and lifecycle management
  • Collaborating with IT, business teams, and external technology partners
  • Mentoring data engineers and establishing engineering standards and best practices

Experience Required

  • 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Enterprise Data Platforms, or Business Intelligence Engineering
  • Strong Python and SQL skills
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise data warehouses and integration platforms
  • Experience working with cloud-based data technologies such as Azure or AWS
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory best practices
  • Previous experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineering teams

Nice to Have

  • Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, or Databricks experience
  • ERP integration (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
  • Power BI or other enterprise reporting platforms
  • Master Data Management (MDM) experience
  • Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling
  • Experience supporting digital transformation programmes within large organisations
