Data Engineering Manager – Join Us in Rewriting the Future of Travel!
Since 2003, we’ve transformed how people discover, book, and experience their ideal getaway—from beach holidays to premium international stays and vibrant city breaks. Now, we’re excited to build the future of travel through data, AI, and cutting-edge technology. Join our entrepreneurial team, where creativity and innovation power our mission of delivering the best holiday experiences—one that keeps customers coming back again and again.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead and grow our data engineering capability, shaping the platforms, practices, and processes that drive analytics, data insights, and AI-driven innovation across the business.
This is your chance to develop people as much as you solve complex technical challenges. You’ll guide us in modernising how data flows through our company—from event-driven cloud solutions to traditional operational systems—while leading a talented team to deliver high-impact work.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading a team of data engineers, ensuring a culture where people thrive, share knowledge, and deliver high-quality results.
- Shaping our approach to data, balancing event-driven systems with traditional data workflows to improve ingestion, processing, modelling, and accessibility.
- Designing and evolving our data platform—pipelines, orchestration, observability, data governance, and quality—ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Commercial teams to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable data solutions.
- Setting and improving data engineering standards, covering testing, monitoring, documentation, deployment, and reliability.
- Making pragmatic decisions that balance delivery speed, platform quality, long-term stability, and business value.
- Fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and strong engineering practices.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
