We're looking for multiple Data Engineering Managers to lead data product teams responsible for delivering business-critical data solutions across a complex and evolving organization. Several opportunities are available across different business domains, including financial systems, colleague experience, and customer-focused products.

The Role

As a Data Engineering Manager, you'll provide technical leadership and people management for a product-aligned data engineering team. Working alongside a dedicated Product Manager, you'll be responsible for turning business priorities into tangible outcomes, ensuring your team delivers high-quality data products that support decision-making and operational performance. You'll balance technical direction, delivery leadership, and stakeholder engagement while creating an environment where engineers can thrive.

Data Engineering Manager, Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing data engineering team.
  • Translate business and product requirements into deliverable technical solutions.
  • Drive the successful delivery of data products from roadmap through to implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Ensure solutions deliver measurable business value and support organizational goals.
  • Guide engineering standards, technical direction, and team capability development.
  • Support planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery activities.
  • Foster a culture focused on outcomes, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Engage with senior business leaders and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Success in This Role

You'll be someone who is motivated by outcomes rather than outputs. You understand that successful engineering leadership is about enabling teams to deliver real value, not simply delivering technology. Why Apply?

  • Work with modern data technologies and product-led delivery teams.
  • Influence senior business stakeholders and help shape future direction.
  • Join an environment that values ambition, ownership, and measurable impact.
