Fortrea's Clinical Research Unit in Leeds is where life-saving medicines begin their journey.

You’ll be part of a team that asks one crucial question: will this new medicine be safe? If you enjoy working with data, following clear procedures in a fast-paced environment and contributing to meaningful research while maintaining flexibility in your schedule, this could be a great fit.

This is a Bank (0-hours) position, where work is offered based on study schedules and clinic demand. Office-based job at our Drapers Yard Clinical Research Unit, just a 7-minute walk from the train station.

  • Monday to Friday, business hours
  • During busier periods, you could work up to 37 hours per week; however, the number of hours offered can vary from week to week depending on operational needs.

WHO YOU ARE

You may have gained experience in data entry, administration, customer service, or another fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail when working with data are important.

You don’t need a scientific background or a degree. If you have great attention to detail and are practical, curious and keen to learn, we’ll provide full training to develop the technical skills you need.

You will need to bring:

  • A good standard of general education, including Maths & English
  • The ability to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

ON A NORMAL DAY, YOU WILL…

  • You will be responsible for entering data generated during clinical trials into Case Report Form (CRF) databases. These are industry-specific tools you will be trained to use.
  • Make study decisions daily to ensure that the data entry remains on schedule and quality remains high.
  • Perform data QC resolving unverified records, raising queries, flagging any issues to ensure data is available for validation.
  • Track CRFs on an ongoing basis, including splitting and filing pages as appropriate.
  • Enter clinical data into the appropriate database via data entry screens (first pass entry).
  • May assist with the development of data entry conventions.
  • Assist the Data Managers with the preparation and archiving of study documentation.
  • May QC entered data against source data.
