Join us as a Data Factories Standards Assurance Lead

We're looking for someone to set and lead the strategic data management governance of data product delivery in Enterprise Data Transformation. You'll take the lead in designing and implementing standards in the data marketplace. This is your opportunity to make an important and far-reaching impact through your work and benefit from excellent stakeholder exposure.

What you'll do

  • We'll be asking you to lead our data factories standards & assurance team, which is fundamental to the successful federation of data management across the bank.
  • You'll be responsible for developing a methodology that allows our stakeholders to operationalise the new standards, utilising the latest technology.
  • You will also ensure we can measure progress and move towards an automated solution.

As Well As This You'll Be

  • Establishing controls and governance practices to make sure we're complying with the data product standards and guidelines.
  • Building strong relationships with all the franchise and function teams, and owning key relationships.
  • Establishing the direction to continuously improve the process using AI and AWS tools.
  • Lead a team who will come up with new ways of working, using these standards to ensure the bank complies by design to key data management and architecture principles.

The skills you'll need

  • Crucial to your success will be your experience of driving data management improvement initiatives to meet long-term Enterprise Data Transformation goals.
  • You'll need to able to lead a team who create new ideas and are inquisitive, learning about new technology and Data Transformation.
  • Excellent influencing skills will be needed to translate technical details into clear guidance and actions.

You'll Also Need

  • The ability to communicate the context of data management to senior leaders in order to gain their support to drive improvements.
  • Broad knowledge of data management principles, coupled with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • A good technical grounding in the tools that will be used in data management, such as data products, data catalogues and data quality tools.
  • Experience of communicating complex subjects in a simple and accessible way to senior and generalist audiences.
  • The ability to make complex decisions and using a broad range of factors to develop solutions.
